The Jason Rich Foundation was established in late 2009. The foundation provides young drivers defensive driving and education, at no cost. This year, the foundation is aiming to raise $20,000 which provides funding for 100 young drivers. The ripple effect this has in our community in invaluable. Simply put, it saves lives. The foundations motto is “coz life’s worth living’.
With the support from our local community, we can all do our bit to save lives by continuing to fund this free defensive driver program for CQ’s young drivers. Here’s how you can help!

About the foundation
Not long after his 21st birthday, Capricorn Coast local Jason Rich was involved in a car accident which tragically took his life. The foundation was established by Jason’s best mate, Jacob Mcluskie as a way of ensuring Jason’s legacy lived on, but to also teach young drivers defensive driving skills and knowledge.
The impact that losing a young life has on the people left behind is devastating. Jason’s legacy lives on through his foundation. The story of Jason Rich is an opportunity to educate our young drivers and change the way our young people view driving but more importantly how they act behind the wheel.
