The SIT Card is issued to all students who are approved by Department of Transport & Main Roads for bus travel assistance to primary school and secondary school. This card is programmed with the student’s travel entitlements as marked on the bus travel assistance application. Parents/ Guardians who choose to send their child to a school other than the closest will be required to pay fare from nearest state school to the school attended.

Students must scan their easy-travel SIT Card every time when boarding the bus to and from school or pay the fare.
Those students who are not eligible for travel assistance are encouraged to purchase the easy-travel Fare Card. These students will benefit from the convenience of not carrying cash to school along with the discounted fare that the card provides.
The SIT Card is invalid if cut, mutilated or altered in any way. Lost, damaged or mutilated SIT Cards must be replaced.

Queensland Government Introduces 50 Cent Fare Initiative for Public Transport
From Monday 5 August 2024 until Sunday 9 February 2025, the Queensland Government is rolling out an exciting initiative to make public transport more affordable and accessible for Queenslanders. During this six-month trial period, all public transport fares across Queensland will be a flat 50 cents per journey, no matter how far you travel (conditions apply). The 50 cent fare applies to all modes of public transport under the Translink network. Select Translink bus routes Rockhampton and Yeppoon are included. Bus routes included are 440, 441, 442, 444, 445, 446, 447, 448, 450 and 451, which are operated by CDC Queensland. No further discounts apply during this period.
