School children on the Capricorn Coast are about to take a ride in two brand new Bonluck buses thanks to the recent purchase by Young’s Bus Service.
Nick named “The Bonluck Boys”, these twins are a 2019 model Bonluck Coach Bus and weigh in at a gross vehicle mass (GMT) of just over 18 Tonne. They are both fitted with many features standard such as reverse cycle air-conditioning. Not only are the boys “cool”, their design and safety standards meet Australia’s design rules and legislative requirements as set out by the Department of Transport & Main Roads.
There is no doubt the best feature of the twins is the new bus smell, look and feel. Why would anyone want to ride in a stretch limo!
For now the boys are in the safe hands of their new family at the Young’s Bus Service depot with grandparents Dave and Phil Young. Some staff have also reported to us that Dave and Phil have been running around like little children as they relive their fond childhood memories of tinkering with new machinery.
Once Dave & Phil have finished doing ‘vroom vroom’ noises, our drivers will undergo the necessary training to drive the new buses. Hopefully by that time Dave and Phil will have dealt with their separation anxiety and the two handsome fellas (the buses that is) will be on the road servicing S317 (Emu Park to Yeppoon State High School) & S658 (Zilzie to Yeppoon State High School).
For students on the above routes please note your bus number is beside the entrance doorway. There are no front destination signs.
