Livingstone Shire Council is currently constructing a four-way roundabout that will connect the lagoon access road, Appleton Drive West and East and Barry Street. This will then provide a no through road environment along Whitman Street adjacent to residences and maintain traffic flows in all directions.
There will be no changes to public transport routes once the roundabout is constructed and temporary traffic detours and disruptions are shown below.
The section of Anzac Parade to the West of the Keppel Bay Sailing Club facility will also be upgraded to maximise parking opportunities and improve the crossing area and drop off zones already in place, this project will also be delivered by Council.
