Go coastal with the family this holiday season.
Each beach is different and worth the visit. Buy a daily ticket, take your time and explore Queensland’s Capricorn Coast.
Starting at Yeppoon’s main beach front, soak up the sun along Anzac Parade then head to the Hill Street Bus Stop (1 street back from the beach front) and jump on the route 20 bus.
Heading south to Cooee Bay (the bus destination sign will read Emu Park 20) you’ll notice many opportunities to get off the bus and step onto the beach.
A little further along the picturesque Scenic Highway, you’ll see Rosslyn Bay Marina, which is the departure point for ferries to Great Keppel Island. (For ferry times visit the Freedom Fast Cats website).
Mulambin beach is next and what can we say, except it’s simply a stunning location to spend your free time! Continue south to Kinka beach you will pass the Bluff Rock Reef not far out to sea and the picturesque Causeway Lake area where you can hire small sail boats and water craft and where fresh fruit markets are held every other weekend.
What better time to soak up the surf, make sandcastles and eat ice-cream?
