Planning is underway for Emu Park Lions club’s 16th annual Festival of the Wind which will be on Sunday 3rd April 2016. The event will be hosted at its usual location, Fisherman’s Beach, Emu Park. Young’s Bus Service would like to invite you to catch a bus so you don’t have to worry about finding a car park. Our Capricorn Coast Service (Route 20) has a bus stop right on Emu Park’s doorstep. Take a break and enjoy a stress free day with your family.
“Festival of the Wind is a free family day out and is based on the art of kite flying. On the day there will be plenty of beach games, competitions, market stalls, rides and entertainment. The Festival is held every year with a theme of enjoying everything to do with the wind. Simple kite flying to wind powered sailing craft and even hang gliding and parachuting are all featured on the day. Visitors can make their own kites from kits on sale and then try their hand at flying their creation on the beach. Children can take advantage of the available colouring pens to decorate the kites before they head off for a test flight. A massive fireworks display ends the great family day.” Capricorn Holidays
