Central Queensland’s Premier event, the 2019 Black Dog Ball, is a gala ball raising awareness and removing the stigma surrounding depression and mental health issues in regional Queensland. The Black Dog Ball is annual event that coincides with Mental Health Week, staged to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and wellbeing, and remove the stigma associated with mental illness and depression across the Central Queensland community.
The event is to be held at Rockhampton’s Great Western Hotel on Saturday, October 12, 2019

Did you know that 3,000,000 Australians are living with anxiety or depression? Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged between 15 and 44. Approximately 200 Australians attempt suicide every day and of those, on average, eight will die. [1]
