UPDATE as of 13 December 2018: The detour will remain in place until Friday 14th December 2018
Livingstone Shire Council is advising that the eastern section of Barmaryee Road will be closed to all traffic from 7am Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th December with work occurring from 7am to 6pm daily. This article should be read by passengers that use our general or school services.
All Young’s Bus services will follow the recommended detour and travel via Yeppoon Road to the Tanby Road roundabout through to Yeppoon Central and return for Rockhampton bound services. School service s 1704 will detour through Kingfisher drive to Nevallan Drive through to Emu Parade. All students boarding between Nevallan Drive and Old Rocky Road will be required to wait at the top of Nevallan Drive at 7.46am for this service.
The 1704 school service for students boarding between Nevallan and Rockhampton Road (including Divine street stop) will be impacted. The bus stop will be moved to Nevallan Road as we cannot turn around further up the road towards the closure. Students who use this service should consider catching the bus on the corner of Nevallan Dr & Barmaryee Road (pictured below – click image for larger version). The red section along Barmaryee Road is closed to all traffic.
See the inserted map below for the exact location of the closure. The Rockhampton Road intersection will be closed to all vehicles.
